Armstrong Mfg

The Armstrong Mfg legend began in 1902 in Portland, OR when PE Armstrong opened his shop. Today, Armstrong equipment is prized by saw filers and sawmillers worldwide for its precision performance, rugged dependability, ease of operation and readily available spare parts. The company makes a full line of wide bandsaws blade maintenance equipment as well as machines and tools for circular saws.

Armstrong’s relationship with Simonds is unique in the machinery business. Many machine innovations were designed to improve consistency and productivity and reduce the risk of repetitive motion injuries in Simonds’ sawblade factory. Once proven in our production environment, only then were they offered to our customers.

Armstrong has always worked to help educate those in the Saw Filing Trade. One example is the VariDesign program which allows Filers to design bandsaw blades and analyze how suitable the blade is for their mill.
